Pfingsten announces the acquisition of its latest platform investment, Next Point Bearing Group (“NPBG” or the “Company”), a value-added distributor of precision and miniature bearings and related power transmission components.
Headquartered in Valencia, California, with two additional distribution facilities in Mooresville, North Carolina, NPBG distributes a broad portfolio of standard, specialized, and custom bearings. The Company also provides a suite of value-added services including cleanroom processing and re-lubrication, custom machining, bar code labeling, kitting, and technical support services. NPBG sells to OEMs, distributors, and end users across a wide range of end markets including industrial machinery, material handling and conveying, aerospace and defense, and motion control.
“NPBG is a trusted partner to its diverse customer base, pairing deep inventory availability with the technical expertise, responsiveness, and value-added services its customers depend on,” said Phil Bronsteatter, Managing Director at Pfingsten. “We are pleased to begin a partnership with NPBG and support the Company’s continued growth through enhanced eCommerce initiatives, product introductions, and expansion into new geographies and markets, both organically and via add-on acquisitions.”
“Pfingsten’s commitment to brand legacy, operational resources, and history of successfully scaling distribution businesses made them an optimal partner for NPBG,” said Mark Mickelson, Chairman of NPBG and Managing Partner at Next Point Capital. “With Pfingsten’s support, our team will continue to serve customers with the responsiveness they expect, while gaining the resources to broaden our product lines and reach new markets.”
Pfingsten acquired the Company on September 1, 2026. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. NPBG’s management team, led by President John Burroughs, will continue to lead the Company. Paul Hastings served as legal counsel for Pfingsten and Sklar Kirsh served as legal counsel to the selling shareholders.
