Pfingsten announces the acquisition of its latest platform investment, Runyon Surface Prep (“Runyon” or the “Company”), a value-added distributor of consumables and equipment for concrete surface preparation, polishing and resinous flooring applications.
Headquartered in Carmel, Indiana, with four additional facilities in New Jersey and California, Runyon serves specialty flooring contractors, general contractors and flooring distributors nationwide. The Company combines a broad consumables and equipment portfolio with application expertise, rapid fulfillment and aftermarket support.
“Runyon’s extensive product breadth, technical expertise and consultative, service-led approach make the Company a trusted partner to its customers,” said Ryan Lavelle, Principal at Pfingsten. “We are thrilled to partner with the Runyon team and look forward to supporting the Company’s continued growth through product and sales initiatives, geographic expansion and strategic add-on acquisitions.”
“Pfingsten’s operational resources, commitment to growth and history of successfully scaling technical distribution businesses made them the right partner for Runyon,” said Wendy Runyon Ricker, President of Runyon. “We’re confident that Pfingsten’s ample resources and thoughtful approach to building better businesses will help us further strengthen our customer relationships, invest in our team and position Runyon for continued growth.”
Pfingsten acquired the Company on October 20, 2026. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
